Well I have been thinking how everyone makes such a big deal about different lines. You can get the best rabbits out of two really ugly rabbits. I dont understand why it matters the lines. It should really matter what the rabbit looks like and produces its self. Whats the point of awesome lined rabbits when you have no clue how to breed those rabbits. So I wish everyone would stop worrying about that, and breed better rabbits.

RW's Elmo/and other News

Our last English angora at Ross Wood. RW's Elmo, he is out of Hunneshagen's Shawn White, at one of my homebred does RW's He is a nice little 4 month old buck. He has an awesome coat on him, for being do young. I am exctied about showing him, he will be for sale in fall show season, but until then, I am going to be growing out his coat.

In netherland dwarf news, I just got my first litter of shadeds, out of Jeporady bred back to his daughter. One baby is a siamse smoke pearl, and the other is a siamse sable. Hopefully they turn out nice enough to be shown at ARBA convention.

In our nestbox we mostly have all BEW's, steels, and otters. There a lot of promiseing juniors that I think will show well in the future.

Highschool

Dealing with yourself makes you sick,

Everyone in school is smokeing a joint,

Your not changeing your self your only changeing the lies,
Your heartless actions make another girl cry,

Just because your different makes you not cool,

Litters galor

Well I am up to 12321095i019234 billion litters. It feels like it anyway. Mostly BEWs, and steels. Hopefully something half way decent for ARBA Convention. I weaned a bunch of juniors yesterday, but nothing really stuck out to me. Then again, nothing ever looks good to me. LOL

Since its soo hot outside I decided to freeze water bottles, and buy more fans. Our electric bill is a little high, but doing some extra chores around the house will really help out.. I hope. Rabbits love ice cubes, . Unlike my dog who only likes flavored ice.

I am debating on getting into another breed. I am thinking Jersey Woolies or maybe even English Angoras again. I love the personality on the English Angoras, but Its difficult keeping up with all the grooming. Especially considering I am only 15. Same with Jersey Woolies. I also like the idea of mini lops, or maybe mini satins. I also am considering just sucking it up, and getting another color project in netherland dwarfs.

Only time will tell what I will do..... I need a showw!

Disrespectful Breeders

Well open breeders have been really horrible lately.... I have noticed one breeder inperticular. They are selling rabbits with fake pedigrees, and selling rabbits under their prefix who were bred by other breeders. Some people really need to grow up. It makes me sick

Well where do I start…. I haven’t blogged in more than a year. 10th grade year went by pretty fast; I did well in school, passed all my regents and had good grades in every class. Now that summer is here and show season is over I have no idea what to do with myself. Tried hanging out with friends but for the most part I am being ignored.
The rabbits are still here and my life still revolves around them. We are up to 75 and only have netherland dwarfs left. Sadly we sold out of LionHeads last year, and English angoras a couple months ago. Luckily we have our netherland dwarfs. This year alone we have been kicking some butt. With Yodah; our steel buck, and a few others. Yodah is up to 9 legs, 2 BIS, 2 RIS, he is an awesome buck.
I have picked up drawing again, nothing major just a little doodling. My main subject for drawing is still the rabbits, but what do you expect? When you love something you can get your mind off it, no matter how hard you try. I am kind of getting good at it now… not to sound too cocky. It keeps me busy, when there is nothing to do during the summer. I can’t wait for school to start again!

New EA Litter

Well all I really have to say, is I finally got a new Enlgish Angora litter. Out of RW's Mr. Grape, and Hunneshagen's DaisyDuke. A large litter of 9!!!!!! I am very excited. In the litter there is 5 Red-Eyed Whites, 2 Black-Torts, and 2 Blue-Torts. I am planning on keeping 2. Most likley does. So the rest will be forsale. Email me if you want any MitchANator1995@aol.com

Mohawk Valley Show

At this show I was very lucky at taking BOB, with Adriondack's Diego, winning him his 11th leg. His 4th BOB leg. Also Meg's Grumplestilskin won his first leg as a BOSG. We did abosoultly awesome at the show!!!! Had a bunch of fun. We brought home one new rabbit Dreamcatcher's Natalia. She is now currently bred to Cowan's Big Dog, who has 30+ legs. He is absoultly stunning.

In other news, We made a trip out to Mrs. Brenda Hunneshagens house and picked up a gourgous REW buck. Who is line bred to Noritake 3x. He is going to due wonders for our herd. His name is Hunneshagen's Shawn White (H535). A wonderful thing is he is related to our REW doe Hunnesagen's Daisy Duke. They will be bred during late summer/early fall.

Our next show is.....Cortland Ny. We will be bringing most of our show stock. Keep an eye out for me.

I'm Back!!!!! Lots of changes

Here I am. Lots of new stuff has happened. I have down sized on English Angoras, trying to get rid of Lionheads, and breeding netherland dwarfs, like crazy. Currently I have about 60 rabbits. Mostly dwarfs......2 english angoras.

Hunessagen's Daisy Duke was just bred to my homebred buck RW's Mr. Grape. Hopefully we will have some nice english angoras in the box. Mr. Grape, ColorOfFame, and Juilette are now at a new home. They now live in Michigan with a man named Mar

Currently my main netherland color project is BlueEyedWhites, and they are starting to turn out wonderful. I have three Jr. Doe RW's Vanilla Twilight, RW's Rein, and RW's Ires. Then a Jr. buck name RW's Wizard. In the box I have 2 babies out of Meg's Grumplestilskin x Adirondack's Rosalie. The babies names are RW's Nitro Circus, and RW's Meltdown. Summer

It has been a really long summer so far. I have been having fun. Sadly though we lost our broken doe and our tort buck due to some heat isues. But now we have a cooling system.

In other news lots of babies have been born. We have lots of english angora jrs who are looking really nice. I just finally decided who i am keeping out of all 14 babies! I am keep 3 jr does one from each litter. Now i need another buck :P.

Thanks to the pushing of all of my angora friends i have started to spin :P and with the help of Mrs. Johnson. I also learned how to netle felt at the recent Niagara county fair.

As for other things i have been swimming a lot, and sleeping. :D

I MISS MY FRIENDS

Latley things have been slow around the farm and in my life. Lots of new babies including BEW Dwarfs and EAs.

Today i am not blogging about the rabbits. I am blogging about my friends. I have finally relized i need them. I dont know what to do with out them. As of today it is the offical first day of spring brake. We spent all day with eachother yesterday and said our good byes at about 1:00 am. I can't belive i am not going to see them anymore. Graduating from 8th grade suck. Especially at a private school when you can't see your friends. I am going to miss them so much. Good thing I have god to help me through this.

In News around the barn. I dont even know where to begin. I did a major restart. I got ride of a lot of stuff and brought it some new stock. It is hard to see your babies go but its going to hurt bad before it gets better. All hasn't been well with all of the bunnies though. Porsche paralized one of her babies and i dont know what to do. Do i feed it? I can't let a little babie die. It is even hard now that it has its eyes open :(. It is so much worse then the BEW Max Factor. Why are rabbits so depressing? Why do I do this?

I have to really think about these questoins. Is it worth it? Come on i haven't even gotten a netherland BOB. It is the breed i have had the longest to top it off. I finally got my first BEW litter. Its about time right? 6/6 Al gave birth to 5. 1 MF ERR. and 4 normal BEWs.

The mf made this week even harder of course. The poor little thing. Its these little things that make everything so darn hard.

I have to mention the good things though. I have amazing look little English angora babies their moms are doing a good job taking care of them. Thanks girls!

I am planing on keep a little blue tort buck and a black tort doe. They are deffently my two favorite. Jenna is keeping the chestnut go figure lol.

Trying to post

I have been very bad about posting latley. It is horrible. Since last time i posted a lot has happened.

I headed out to Angora nationals and took Bjr in Breed, and 2 Colored buck. I also took 2nd white doe. Yay! I thought this was pretty good considering that Colin and Alex were there. With some of the convention rabbits.

Lot of babies on the way also i got a bunch of litters. I have 2 dwarf litters. Two angora litters are in the oven and much much more.

I was in Washington DC for a little while. It was so much fun. I went with my school. We saw pretty much everythign there is to see there. It was amazing. I loved the museums.

I am now also making banners and animates for people if you are interested let me know :D. I am pretty darn good at it:D

Busy Busy Busy! March 23, 2009

I have been so busy! I have been at shows every weekend. Many does bred. I even actully have BABIES!

I got some out of black jack and Sunset (f3s). And some out of black jack and aqua (PB). I got 3 torts, 6 blacks, and 1 sable point out of the two litters. They are great mothers.

In other news. I got a 2nd runner up in a 4-H show. I was pretty proud. Out of 200 rabbits she got number 3. What a nice angora doe. The judges loved the crimp on that doe. I do too. Soon another angora buck will be coming to my house. A chesnut. It is from Smokey Hallow Rabbitry. Hopefully he will be coming some time this week.

We have some new additions here. I picked up 3 at the show on last saturday. They were from my friends, they are getting out of dwarfs. They are pretty nice rabbits. I also will be having some rabbits forsale in the future. All those babies can't stay here. If interested let me know. I will be having a good deal of a purchase of 2 or more. I should also be getting another lionhead buck in the future. Black jack was sold a little bit a go. I am looking for a new one (perferabley a sable point buck) Any one know let me know.

At the P.A convention i got reunited with some of my good friends. I also finally offically met Linda cassela i love her rabbits. She did a heck of a job at that show taking BOB in both shows. Congrates. Also i picked up a heck of a lionhead there. I showed her the second day and she took BOB out of 17 rabbits. I thought that was pretty amazin. She is gourgous. Since then she has had her second BOB. what a doe. I love her. She is my new show doe. Amythesit is her name. That little girl took the place of my old doe who is now busy in the box Sunset. If she can do have as well as that doe I would be exstatic! Other than that i am getting ready for the fulton show so hopefully i can do good wish me luck.

Home from the show.

My rabbits have done very well at the last show :). I got my first Angora BOB and BOSB. I am very happy abouy this. I also seen my friend who brought rabbits. He did very well. He breeds quality netherland dwarfs. I am so very happy check my site for results. I brought home also a BOSB lionhead and BOB lionhead. I also got a BOSV with my netherland doe. Tuesday of this week my GC legs arrived. These were all awarded to Sunset, Sapphire, and Granit. Thank Goodness that we finally got them. Very soon I will be registering all my rabbits.

The angoras from Liberty Junction are here. After bugging my parents i got them. The are so pretty. They pictures below dont even discribe them. They both have pretty amazing coats, Porsche has the better body of the two. I am very happy about these two.

Both if their parents have GC legs. I have high hopes for these two in my breeding program.

Also i bred SP Midnight Black Jack to RW Ruby Jewel and her mother RW Orange Blossom. I am hopeing for thicker maned rabbits in this litter. Babies will be ranging from 25-50 dollars. I will be selling show and pet quality.

In other news a couple rare Tan netherland Dwarfs will be arriving from Ted McBride. I will be breeding those in the summer.

Liberty Junction is Coming to Ross Wood

Yeah!!

Saturday i am going to go pick up my two enlglish angora does from Liberty Junction. I am so excited. I am debating on names at the time. Hopefully they will do very well in my breeding prgram. They will both be bred to RW The Magnificent Milo. I am so happy. They both carrie tort genes.

They are by Countryside Jasper. He is the half brother to Countyside Paris, the 2007 ARBA youth BIS Champion.

They are out of a tort doe know as Countryside Cher.

Both parents nice fur quality a density. Can't wait to see how these two turn out.

Names mostlikley are Liberty Junction Where Is My Romeo and Liberty Junction Prosche

ok. All that is new is that Delilah came in to my house awaiting for her babies. She is due around the 26th. Hopefully i will get some very nice BEWs. She is bred to Shawn's Icee. Both rabbits have BOVs. I can't wait to see how these guys babies turn out. Very exciting. Also i have some people interested in the LOVEBIRDS!

Hey,

I am very happy for starting this blog. This is my 1st post! I just want to say this has been an amazing end of a show season for Ross Wood. We got are first GC legs. RW Pink Sappire Princess Of The Knight and RW Silver Granit were my to lovely does who won my first legs. Also i got a BOB for my lionhead doe SP Sunset Bay, and for my Hunnesagen bloodline english angoras! RW The Maginficent Milo (english angora tort) got his first BOSB! I am very happy with this show season.
